Deleting your account and data

Tup Quest works without an email or password. The leaderboard and groups use a guest account created automatically. In version 1.1.0 you can delete it directly in the app.

In the app

  1. Open Profile → Settings → Data.
  2. Choose Delete account and all data.
  3. Read the confirmation and choose Delete.

We delete the guest account, nickname, weekly scores, linked statistics, memberships and groups you created. A deleted group disappears for its other members too. Then we erase walks, GPS tracks, walked streets, finds, points and badges from the phone.

We also erase everything that was waiting to be forwarded to Amplitude and send it a request to delete its copy of your statistics. That is a request addressed to the provider — Amplitude carries it out on its own schedule, so it does not happen at the same moment as the rest.

The operation cannot be undone. Deleting the server account requires internet access. If the server does not confirm deletion, the app keeps your local progress and lets you retry. It confirms success with a message.

Statistics, diagnostics and automatic tracking are switched off. Basic settings such as language and city remain. You can start a new game later.

Without access to the app, or from an older version

Write to d.ptaszek@gmail.com asking for your account and linked data to be deleted. If you know your player ID, include it. You can copy it in the app under Settings, in the Data section.

The identifier helps us find the account, but on its own it does not prove the right to delete it. If needed, we will ask for further information. We reply without undue delay, within one month at the latest, and confirm that it is done.

Delete selected data without deleting your account

Email the same address to request deletion of selected data, such as usage statistics, while keeping your guest account and leaderboard profile. Specify the data to delete and include your player ID if available. We will confirm the scope and completion; other account data will remain unchanged. The verification and response process above also applies.

Uninstalling and withdrawing consent

Uninstalling alone removes the local database but does not delete server data. Delete the account in the app first if you want both parts gone.

Switching off Statistics and error reports stops new transmissions and clears both queues: the one on your phone and the one on our server waiting to be forwarded to Amplitude. It does not delete data collected or forwarded earlier. For that, use the account function above or write to support. Sentry reports contain no player identifier; the privacy policy describes their retention.
